Prayer in Front of the German Parliament

A Historic Day for Germany

In front of the German Bundestag in Berlin, we gathered together with believers from all across the country to pray for Germany, for our government, and for the national elections. What God did on this day exceeded everything we could have imagined.

At the beginning, one central concern was in focus: We wanted to stand before God as His people and ask for forgiveness—for personal and societal ways in which we have turned away from Him. Together, we confessed that we want to return to Jesus as a nation and asked God to heal our land.

Because Berlin is a city that was once divided and is now united again, we invited pastors and ministry leaders from Berlin to join us in prayer for unity, renewal, and the work of God in our country. The message of this day was clear: Germany belongs to Jesus – and we may declare this boldly.

Many felt a deep longing to live out the Christian faith in Germany openly and without fear. We want to be a country where people know they are welcome – and that Jesus loves them.

The preparation for this day was strongly contested. Our team faced physical and spiritual challenges, yet God carried us through. Shortly before the event, we were unsure whether a livestream would even be possible – but thanks to our team, everything came together. As a result, this day reached not only those on-site, but hundreds of thousands online.

People came from all across the country: by car, by bus, by train. Some shared that entire train carriages were filled with Christians traveling to Berlin. The unity and determination that was visible that day was something truly special and, for many, a historic moment.

We believe that this day was not the end, but a starting point. God desires to continue working in our nation. We are convinced: The best is yet to come.

For us as a team, the work continues – for example with the Harvest Camp in Munich, where we want to equip those who are called to walk alongside new believers and help them build a relationship with Jesus and find their place in a local church.

Regardless of how each person personally experienced the election outcome, we know this:

On this day, the Body of Christ united in prayer for Germany – and God heard these prayers.

We cannot wait to see what God will bring forth from this.
Whatever it will look like – it will be good, because it will be the will of God.
